Uncontrolled Writing

Syracuse University's Newhouse School public relations curriculum has developed me as a writer and critical thinker. All of these projects and assignments stretched me to work effectively with people in order to achieve objectives, developed my syntax when creating PR documents, and helped me to become a strategic writer. EA Games Press Release

I wrote this press release for EA Games for a class assignment in 2015. This press release assignment was the start of my public relations writing experience.  ​

I created this press release in 2017 as a public relations writing exercise. This assignment exhibits my development as a public relations writer.  

Syracuse Storm Media Advisory

I created this media advisory for the Syracuse Storm (fictional lacrosse team) in 2016 for a class project. I was the only public relation major in my group, so, I crafted the public relations writing for the project. 

EA Games Pitch Email

I wrote a pitch email to a media member for EA Games proposing a story idea. I wrote this for a class assignment in 2015. This was my first experience of writing a pitch email and this has developed my strategic writing skills. 

SU Athletics News Release

I created this news release for SU Athletics in 2016 for a class assignment. This assignment helped me to continue to refine and develop my writing skills. 

NFL Pitch 

I wrote this pitch email/proposal in 2014 on behalf of the NFL. This exercise began my experience with dealing with the media in terms of pitching ideas.   

Roger Goodell Memo

I wrote this internal memo for the NFL's commissioner, Roger Goodell. I wrote this memo in 2017. This memo led me to look at Roger's interests and objectives, and I tailored a strategic message to leverage them and influence him.
